My friend likes to use the expression tough titters all the time. I don't want to look as if i'm out of the loop so I don't want to ask her what it means....does any one know what it means? I guess I should also mention that she is from the UK.

Your phrase refers to "tough titties" which is short for "tough tittie said the kitty" It refers to a nipple that is slow to provide any milk. On most animals the nipple, mammary gland sac, surrounding skin are all referred to as a teet, like a breast on human females.
