I think it's stupid how people think they have the knowledge to label a whole nation of people 'gay' as they don't know everyone in that nation and never will do. Same as how the US seems to be labelled stupid. Being British, i love the Americans! Come on, they made Friends and McDonald's!

I think that some Americans do have a rude behavior and we think we are superior to other countries. It is also that we tend to make fun of stuff we don't understand/being different from our own.



That is probably why someee Americans do that.

I think people in general have the potential to be good people or people who just focus on the negatives...No matter where you are ... there will always be nice people and rude people...they may just be nice or rude in different ways.

I think ignorant or immature people just get a kick out of name calling or stereotyping others. For some it gives them some sense of satisfaction when they can try to get reactions out of people (even negative ones)....I dislike these types of people, but I do not give them the satisfaction of reacting in a way that they may find amusing - this only seems to fuel their unattractive behavior.

Chin up, not all Americans are mean and rude....not all people (where ever they may live) are ignorant and hurtful. You just have to look on the bright side of life....when they give you lemons - make some yummy lemon bars! LOL! ;) And then revel in the fact that you are above the ugliness that tries to rub you the wrong way!

There are seperate Yahoo answers America and Yahoo answers UK. On Yahoo answers America we Americans get bashed more than you can imagine. And some American's think it's the British who are doing it.



As an American I love and support the Brits. I wouldn't have a single bad thing to say about them. I don't think that many Americans buy into stereo types.

I think the British/American name calling goes both ways. I've seen questions that are rude about Americans from the British, and vice verse. The bottom line is that anonymity online means the kindergarten playground is opened.

We don't call British gay. Some British are gay that's true. But there are plenty of non-gay manly Brits. Most people call them Scots.

It's funny that when the tables are turned the Brits come out of the woodwork in defense of their bland, bad toothed, bad weathered culture. Why take it personally, you'll never meet these people? Stop crying Brits. Like I said in a previous, similar question from another Brit, we Americans get insulted every day by the rest of the world so don't dish it out if you can't take it. Funny isn't it, that if a question like this is posted, suddenly they all deny it? Maybe the "Brit bashers" don't bother answering a question such as this or maybe they do. One thing that I have noticed is that americans in general cant bear any sort of criticism or a challenge to anything they have said, and a question such as this is both a criticism and a challenge.
