Jessica Alba's father is Mexican-American, and his family never spoke Spanish at home. When Jessica Alba first became famous and people called her Hispanic/Latina, she would insist she wasn't.

I agree. Hispanic is a culture and linguistic group. If Spanish is not your native language or was not spoken in your home when you grew up, then you are not Hispanic.

Just because you can't speak spanish and you're Mexican doesn't make you Mexican.

And actually her grandfather didn't speak spanish to his kids because he wanted them to be more American.

She's just your average case of a Mexican who desperately wants to be white.

Mexicans at my school call them 'pocho'.
