like you know, being a korean or Japanese in any of those countries where 90%< (greater than) are of that nationality (in this case, Korean or Japanese).

How is life like living in a highly developed country where the other minorities are almost non-existant. I mean who has ever heard of Indian or Filipino people living in Japan? Who has heard of Filipino migrant construction workers in Japan, or Thai housekeeper women in Korea?

There actually are a lot of Filipino workers in Japan, and Korea, but I do get that that's not really the point of your question...

I can't quite answer your question, but I can tell you from a reverse perspective -- that is, from being a Filipino growing up in multi-racial America, to moving to the Philippines, where almost everyone is the same race -- it was really, really weird. Whenever you see a crowd in America, whether it's on the street, in an athletic stadium, at a rally, etc, it always looks like a rainbow of colors, because of people's hair, eye and skin color. During my first month in the Philippines, I watched a concert or something on TV, and when they showed the audience in the stadium I was shocked at what the people looked like: It was nothing but a sea of brown faces, thousands of them, and every single one of them had black hair. My sister, like me, thought it was hilarious and remarked, "Look at all those Filipinos! Every person there is a Filipino!" To me instead of the normal "rainbow" I was used to seeing, it just looked like a sea of dirt.

Again, I myself am Filipino, but it was weird to see nothing but Filipinos everywhere I went. I got used to it after a few months, of course.

There are a lot of White people in Japan though. It's pretty expensive in both Korea and Japan.

Japan is not homogeneous, they are mixed with Indians and Koreans and some Westerns, so they look a bit dark skinned with more western looking. South Japan and North Japan are different too.

lol i've lived in Japan so I see Filipino's there, especially in Okinawa. You also see some Chinese too.

There are a lot of Koreans too.

Then there are the American military people, as well.

But the place is of course mostly Japanese.

whats it like living in one of those african countries? they are all black too, whats it like living in russia? they are all white too, whats it like living in ireland, they are also mostly homogeneously white too.

every culture is different anyways, I dont know about korea but in japan people are timid to respect other peoples privacy and they donot speak out loud in a rude manner, and when you walk into any kind of store they always greet you in and out, irrashaimase, arigatou gozaimashita etc.

maybe koreans are not so nice though. korean & japanese are not the same, they are very different. western people tend to think korean & japanese are the same.
