England was very pleasent with its own culture.
So why is "multi- cultured" promoted as being something we should aspire too?

Not for me it isn't, I'm Scottish, and proud to be Scottish and citizen of the United Kingdom. We British have a wonderful heritage and culture, pity we aren't allowed to enjoy it for all the politically correct 'do-gooder' morons who stick their oar in and write off patriotism as racism, which is supposedly done in the interests of 'Multi-Culturism'. In point of fact, it is folly to even expect Multi-Culturism to work, it can't work, there are too many conflicts of interest for it to work, each country has it's own culture and it is specific to that country, it doesn't work if you force it to become the culture of a country that is foreign. I, as I'm sure many others, Don't want any aspect of a foreign country entering into everyday life unless that individual wants it to. Fair enough going to one of these countries for a holiday to see these places and find out about their cultures, but if you want to embrace that culture, that is up to you, and no one has any right to impose it on other people if they are not interested in it. Multi Culturism is as I have said, part of the Labour partys interminable program to make this country totally Politically Correct and compliant, making people so scared to speak out that they will accept anything that the politicians tell you to. Also theres money in this as well, for the politicians, they are paid to promote this school of thought, obviously this is not made public knowledge. So to answer the question in a nutshell, Multi-culturism, in it's present form at least, does nothing to improve society, it is worsening it.

Because there is no reason why we shouldn't be a multi cultural society. People with prejudices are the ones that create the problems, why do people feel threatened by others from different backgrounds and with different beliefs.

I think it will enrich our society and young people will grow up amongst many diverse religions and ethnicity's, hopefully in time racism will become less of a problem. I think we should all aspire to be more accepting and open minded individuals.

Multi cultural societies would be a good idea if they actually worked, but they don't. People from different nationalities cut themselves off from the rest of the community.

Here in Burton Upon Trent we have a Muslim section of town, an English section of town and now even the Polish have made their own area of town too. None of them mingle with each other.

It doesn't work does it?

Hi....

That is the 'only' thing i admire about America....

The fact that all nationalities, become one, all different but together under one flag and proud of it!

This is something that should be promoted here in UK.... Instead, most of the ethnic minorities, live together and exclude themselves from the rest of us and our society!

They also refuse to accept the English/British ways and culture, so are we to accept their culture, but them not ours?
