I'm still surprised that both of the Voyager probes are still operable, even after thirty-five years! I don't know if you could call that a "great achievement," though....excellent nonetheless. :3

Can you give me five examples of humanity's greatest achievements, if you can?

Man landing on the moon. It is arguably the highest scientific achievement mankind has ever reached.

No other scientific achievement has received such praise and admiration.

1) Moon landing

2) the Internet

3) the conquering of night, with the light bulb

4) the destruction of deadly deseases like small pox

Just guessing, but here goes--

1. Fire. Being able to control and put to use.

2. Water. Getting it where one wants, when they want it.

3. Flight. Getting off the ground.

4. Plastics. Could also be a huge curse, but very useful, overall.

5. Air conditioning. Makes many partsof the world more bearable in hot temps.
