I like some white music like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Justin Timberlake, but I don't like Elvis cause I heard that cracka was racist. So does anybody know the truth? Any articles or website claiming he was or was not?

no. they disproved that already. "they" said while in boston elvis said something like there is nothing a n!g6er can do for me besides shine my shoes, but at the time, elvis hadn't even been to boston...and they can't even find a *legit* source...besides, elvis had a lot of black friends...and he wasn't shy about that at all...i think people just didn't like that he had black friends, so they decided to start some nasty rumors....it was the 50s, after all...

edit-before i started listening to elvis, i researched that...

I'm 18 n a black light skin girl n i must say i am a huge fan of Elvis n he was sexy! The truth is i guess he was racist but i think he also had a heart for blacks too cuz he brought a black lady a car, he had black friends, and kissed the Sweet Inspirations. So he was n wasn't racist but tht doesn't stop me for loving The King! He had his opinions n we have ours

Elvis is almost as much of an icon as the ICON.You can thank Elvis for making black music acceptable to white people. Now you can have a bunch of no talent illiterates making millions rapping about selling crack, slapping their b*tches and going to jail.

" I heard that cracka was racist"

Really? No wwonder people think black peopleare racist. With stupid comments like that its a damn mystery why blacks are so hated. Then when a white person says the N word on youtube, blacks get all mad.

I don't know, but I did see somewhere that he was Cherokee descent. I know that his ancestors had slaves working on their plantations and that Oprah winfrey is supposed to be related to Elvis somehow.

? I would also be interested to know more

probably not since his music was considered "black music." but a lot of people were racist in those days so it is possible.
Ah! I have been enlightened!

He was heavily influenced by blacks, and tried to learn from us. If he recognized blacks knew how to make music, I doubt that he was racist

And if some one called you a mut n!gga you'd probably call MSNBC news to report it.

Anyway who cares if he was. It hasn't been brought to the public's attention. Plus he's dead.

"cause I heard the cracka was racist"...

so you don't like him because he had one of the same characteristics as you? (well assuming he was racist.)

EDIT: I'm not saying because of the effect of the word "cracka" but because of your incentive for using it.
