So my mom is Guatemalan but my dad is Italian. Does this make me half white? I'm confused with this and I'm not sure whether I'm bi-racial or something else.

It depends on the Guatemalan side's race.
Most Guatemalans are Native American or heavily mixed with Native American (with the rest being white). Some are white though.
As for Italians, they are white.
So you are at least half white, with the rest being Native American most likely, though it's possible you are just white depending on the race of your Guatemalan parent.
Hope I helped.

Italians are white.
But Guatemalans are generally American Indians, so if your mother is American Indian like most Guatemalans then you are only half white because Italians are white.

Yeah you are half white. Guatemalans are generally Amerindian (not white).

Why do Hispanics want to be white so badly?

Yes. You are most likely a mestizo.
