You are the first generation of your family born in the country - so that makes you first generation.

First generation. My mother and her family moved here from another country, I am first generation born in the U.S. My children would be second generation.

Since your parents were born in another country, that makes you first generation if you were born here.

You are a first generation American - but a second generation to your parents.

Hello,
First generation. By the way generation is about 30 years.

depends on when your parents moved here... I'd say your 1st generation.
I was born outside the country, but I consider myself 2nd generation because my father has lived here most of his life.. he american. X) strange, but I'd had to think about that.. so my nephews are 3rd generation and so on.. my take on it. not sure.

first born here= first generation.
Your kids will then be second generation.

First, because you were the first one born in this country.

Your question is misguided. As you're now rooted in America the IQ of your family will dramatically plummet over the next 20yrs.

When it comes to belonging to a country, you're first. Otherwise, that chain can go back to Adam and Eve.
