I wanted to know what the symbol, (also animal) for love is in the Cherokee tribe. I am part Cherokee, but I have no idea. Also I'm pretty sure theres a legend about love. What is that legend called?.

There is not a single symbol for love. There is the Cherokee syllabary. The word for "Love" is Gv ge yu i which is pronounced guh-gay-yu-ee. It's also used as "I love you". In the Cherokee written language which is called a syllabary, each syllable has it own symbol. So "love" is written Gv (Ꭼ), ge (Ꭸ), yu (Ᏻ), i (Ꭲ). So the symbol for love is ᎬᎨᏳᎢ.



There is a legend of the hummingbird and the crane, both in love and decide to race similar to the tortoise and the hare. The slower crane wins but the woman says he is too ugly and decides not to marry either.



There is a love charm or Yuwehi Uguwalii in which the person calls upon the White Woman of the South (white is happy) and says to the desired lover "I am covered by the everlasting white shelter wherever I go. No one is ever lonely with me. Your soul has come into the very center of my soul, never to turn away. I (enter your name here) I take your soul."

usually the heart is a symbol for eternal love. but if you don't want a heart, or two linking hearts, a circle will do. the circle never ends, its always constant and can never be broken. or you can always do for the infinity symbol too.
