Is it because they are worried that we might start plotting something against them?

no I think we're worried that it's your way of excluding us + that is intimidating. Like u r saying u r family + we r unwanted outsiders. I DO Feel threatened by that, but only if it's implied that I'm an outsider. It's all down to the context and implication I guess... :)

that is great that you probably did this. i'm not so particular no matter if it really is definitely names that we are suggested as, extra so thoughts and thoughts. as an celebration, clergymen are suggested as pedophiles, we worship Mary and the Pope, we are not Christians, we are cannibals, we pray to saints, cultists, satanists, and clearly, the whore of Babylon. those impolite, boastful and infantile feedback receives them no the position- so I fail to confirm the point for why human beings call us those names. Even after answer after answer pointing out that we do not worship Mary, they nonetheless bypass on pointing out that we do, like they have some divine reason to believe that. they are merely misinformed- and it really is with the help human beings Catholics to set those questions immediately. Ever observe even as a Protestant asks a question about the Catholic church, many Catholics answer thorough and unique solutions, the right answer- besides the indisputable fact that the Protestant nonetheless possibilities yet another Protestant answer because the perfect answer? i imagine it really is common insecurities. all of us comprehend that none of those names or claims are real, and that i believe that searching for the right solutions from fellow Catholics the following in R&S will only make us more advantageous. Protestants are lacking a lot- they don't seem only lacking the truly body and Blood of Christ, they are lacking a lot extra, God's real presence. ignore concerning the attacks, because it really is only blatant lies.

Because they don't have that brotherly bond with many people. They fear the unknown and things that threaten their reality tunnel. They need brotherhood but the issue surfacing makes it uncomfortable. Deep down they are ashamed that they don't treat blacks like brothers. They'll get over it and be the brothers and sisters they are.

Hi. I belong to a Christian fellowship called the Christadelphians and I have 'brothers and sisters' all over the world. Some are white, some are black. I don't feel threatened at all. When I meet a black brother or sister I feel sheer delight. They are so special to me. We are all waiting for the Kingdom of God. I kiss them, I hug them, because we have the same hope. Colour isn't an issue at all, it really isn't. I love them greatly because of the hope we share. XX.

White people don't feel threatened becuase Black people don't really call each other brother and sister anymore. You must be over 40. You should change your avatar to look more of your age.

White people do this occasionally. I sometimes call my friends "bro". I've heard white guys call each other "brother". But I've never heard someone call a white girl "sis" or "sister".
But I'm not threatened.

I don't feel threatened whatsoever. I think you have a chip on your shoulder. One thing that does bother me is that black people can call each other ho (sp) and ni**er etc., but as soon as a white person utters those words all hell breaks loose. I think that's a bunch of bull.

I'm white and I call my friends "brother"...I don't see how it is "threatening".
Why would you say White people are threatened by it? Did someone say they were? It's just a moniker of friendship.

Who told you that Caucasians are threatened by that?? Plotting what against them..?!!!!
I think that brother/sister thing sounds pathetic..
I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.. and that's where its left!! Just because someone has the same colour skin as me doesn't make them my sister/brother... how ridiculous..!!

I think it's because black people tend to have closer, warmer relationships with each other and have much closer family ties. White people seem to have sacrificed social cohesion and the family for technological advancement. Invasion after invasion in European history made people frightened of strangers and with the coming of the industrial age communities and families broke up as people went to work in the towns and cities mills and sweat shops. It's an inheritance of our history.

Can't speak for anyone else. I don't feel threatened - I think its very corny but you please yourself. You are also not qualified to speak for all black people. None of my black friends, neighbours or work colleagues would dream of using the term.
