Do you think there would ever be a WET like White Entertainment TV... kinda like BET?

people say things like "ohh well ALL the channels are "white entertainment" and has no black people"

this is not trueee!

I used to watch Sister Sister, Family Matters, Bill Cosby and Smart Guy... and those were on all the popular stations like Disney and Nick and all those channels that are said to be "for white people only"...

so i think to say it's ONLY white people on all the other channels is total BS...so why not have a WET?

I'd love to just listen to only rock music, no rap(thats just not my thing), and other white entertainment, but that doesn't make me racist because many black people watch their own channel.

BET was made by white people who were smart enough to capitalize on the racist mentality of blacks. Separate but equal, and they love it.



I don't know if they realize it, but BET, MTV, VH1, CMT, Nickelodeon and Noggin are all owned by the same company. And the only reason black people wouldn't care if WET (White Entertainment Television) was established is because they already have BET.

I still say there's no need because you guys have FUSE, which is mostly Rock, and most network television features a majority-white cast. Look at House, there have been more gays and lesbians on that show than there have been Black people.



And nobody said those shows were for Black people only, just as how nobody said that network TV and other channels are for Whites only. Its just that the majority of channels have a White target audience rather than a Black target audience, which is why you don't really need a White Entertainment Television.





But if you still want one go ahead. I don't mind and I'm sure most Black people don't mind either.

WET stands for Women's Entertainment Television.



The reason that there is a BET&WET, is the same reason that there is something called "Affirmative Action." Affirmative action requires all places of work to hire a certain number of minorities regardless of their qualifications. It is to keep them from being rejected due to race. Just as all companies now get tax breaks, if they decide to hire handicaps.



Of course this is politics we are dealing with, somebody is going to bite the bullet. I don't think Affirmative action is fair, but I suppose that it is necessary evil. However in today's age, everyone deals with racism&discrimination.
