In the media, and with comedians it always seems okay to make fun of whites and to use terms like cracker, but you never dare make fun of a black person without being called racist. A person of mixed heritage like my self, pertaining of black and white genetics will much of the time call them self black, when we are actually a mix of black and white, why would they choose to call them self black as if the white is the norm and so somehow because they have a slight difference in pigment they are "black" why not look at the white part and call them self white? Or to be honest and true to both parts and call them self what they are, mixed race. Maybe invent a new word for it, my cousin calls us halfricans but I don't like that term it sounds disrespectful.

It's a bit weird being in the middle, being a mutt as it were. I think racism and racist ideas of any kind are foolish, ignorant and unnecessary in the world but we keep taking it further, we say we are against discrimination but then we rise up these schools specifically for a certain race or color, grants for certain race or color and so on.

What does race or color have anything to do with why we should be allowed to attend a certain school or get a grant or scholarship? Why do we still behave in such childish ways? Will racism ever really be fully dead? Will we ever be able to simply see each other as we are, all equal as human beings?

What is so important about race or color, in this day and age? The past is history, we live in today and should move on.

because we're human, we just blend more with those who have something in common with us..

and it's not so darn important! lol

can you blend in with Chinese? I ever live in western and I saw many people who can't blend in with them.

in multicultural class room, you will see easily that things happen, Korean with Korean, Brazilian with Brazilian, White with White, Japanese with Japanese

I don't know why but It's just happen.

take the race/color away..

and we will get difference in religion and war for religion.

take the religion away..

we would find something else to differentiate and war upon.

I'd hate to break it to you, but racism is going to be around until the end of time. I was called the n word today when I called a customer in the collections department. What me being black had to do with the issue at hand? I don't know. But you have ignorant people who are racist because that's what they were taught, not because they've experienced violence, hateful remarks, or terrorism at the hands of another race. 99% of the time, racist people can't even tell you why they are racists. If you watch the movie Mississippi Burning, it's a segment in the movie where they're interviewing the white residents of the city and they are giving all kinds of rediculous reasons they don't like black people. None of those reasons is that the white women were raped by black men, white people experiencing violence at the hands of black people, or white people being slaves. Let's not get it twisted though, throughout history, there have been white people that have been slaves. With groups like the KKK who endorse racism and think that blacks, catholics, jews, hispanics and every other ethnic group is inferior, I would advise them to look to the bible that they hold so dearly where it says in GOD's eyes there is black nor white, jew nor gentile, bond nor free, rich nor poor. I guess we would call God a socialist. Sounds familiar doesn't it? I hope this helps. Keep your head up.

Most Black Americans already have white in them, so i think you would still be considered black

and the whole race thing is( i think) to help people identify you . Black is dominate so most mixed children look black, and calling themselves white is confusing, cause white have a look. cause if i black person they were white just because they have white in them then anyone could choose any of their races and it would just be confusing

anything i think the person should just go by what they look like the most, and no need for making up a new race. no need for anymore confusion

Good question.

Personally I honestly don't give a rip what colour people's skin is. What matters is what the person's character is like.

The only thing that really matters isn't the colour of a person's skin, but the colour of their football shirt. Are they a Red? Are they a Blue? Are they a White? Are they Man United scum?...
