Question:
Is "majority privilege" more accurate than "white privilege"?

I do not believe in white privilege. The evidence for it just isn't there. What does exist though is majority privilege. Majority populations of a nation tend to have better lives than minorities. It's not limited to the white race though. After all, in South Africa, whites are the group that is discriminated against by the black majority. However, in the USA there seems to be an exception. Whites are the majority population there but are discriminated against with anti-white laws like affirmative action.

We have to look at the term "white privilege" in its appropriate context. The only reason that this term is legitimate is because of it being true in America. In the United States, the majority population still consists of "white Americans." That is because, the white or Caucasian population is still the majority. One could call it "majority privilege" but it has been broken down into a more understandable term for most to pinpoint a person's racial makeup. If one used the term "majority privilege" then it becomes a term that is a bit more vague, because it assumes that most have the understanding of who the majority is. However, there may be those who are unaware. So, it becomes simpler to use the term "white privilege" because of how the country has been constructed based on race. It doesn't mean that a majority whether white or otherwise do not have certain privileges, because it is true that those in that category do. However, terms in the United States at least became racial which is why "white privilege" was instituted in the first place. This is a form of color-ism in addition to it being racialized. The only way to move beyond the terms that we use is to do away with the racial construction that America was founded upon. That means, a form of re-construction rather than living on top of the current foundation and continuing to build upon it.

Whites in America are definitely discriminated against. Perfect example, Affirmative Action.  Minorities have priority for scholorships and jobs even if the minority candidate has more money.

There's no such thing as racial privilege LMAO.

Privilege is an economic thing, meaning the rich and rich only.

The commoner, regardless of race, doesn't have privileges. Those only come with advanced wealth.

Police brutality is something that can happen to all races.

And NYPD, in the liberal Northern mecca, New York, is usually the most corrupt. With the LAPD it's just part of the larger societal problem that Los Angeles historically is a very racist city. Not cause of corruption. You don't hear of LAPD cops taking bribes like NYPD ones.

White Privilege does exist. To deny the VAST evidence is just intellectually dishonest. Even in a country like South Africa, the *average* white person (who you claim face the most discrimination/hardship) are still EXPONENTIALLY wealthier and better off than the average black person there. These are the facts even though the far right media wants you to think that all whites in SA are these poor victimized targeted rural farmers (when this is just a tiny percentage of the white population).

Anyways, white privilege is one of many privileges... There’s privilege based on gender, what country you’re born in, disability status, family wealth, height (for males), race, religion...ppl don’t really look at it like this. Soon when “white privilege” comes up, ppl just get defensive and blatantly deny it..

I think both exist and overlap for whites because colonization was close to global. Whites unfortunately still are afforded certain passes and privileges travelling abroad. Not just in the west.

The very basic stratification of blackness=bad, whiteness=good has become much more of a globally accepted concept than once was.

This white privilege narrative is gaining ground in European countries like UK, Sweden, Germany too.

Whit privilege is a racist talk. It implies whites being majority in any country is inherently wrong.  It is an attack on the self determination and sovereignty of white people.

You should read the "white privilege unpacking the invisible knapsack" by Peggy McIntosh. The points she raised are utter nonsense. It can apply to any country in the world. There is obviously brown privilege in Bangladesh, black privilege in Haiti, Arab privilege in Arab countries, yellow privilege in China.

When you think of "jew" in the United States what race comes to mind?

Why?🤔

This is where you began for your answers.

YOUR MIND (CLONED)

And they are a majority within the majority.......🤔

Meaning a subculture within the dominant culture.

And this subculture believes in nepotism more than individualism.

They had too.........🤔

And why affirmative action is still needed.

Look no further than our govt officials as undeniable PROOF.A

LESS than 3% of the population with over a third of govt officials being JEWISH....lol

But affirmative action is not needed while they create oath laws and other bs to insulate themSELVES from scrutiny

A privilege is a benefit or immunity granted to some but denied others.  Just because someone is of a majority group doesn’t mean they have been granted any special privileges.

You are privileged if you have been granted privileges over others.   It’s that simple.

You should go to the government website.

‘For federal contractors and subcontractors, affirmative action must be taken by covered employers to recruit and advance qualified minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and covered veterans. Affirmative actions include training programs, outreach efforts, and other positive steps. These procedures should be incorporated into the company's written personnel policies. Employers with written affirmative action programs must implement them, keep them on file and update them annually.’

I wrote something similar to this about 6 months ago. Absolutely, this is true. In fact, I think "white privilege" is a racist claim, when clearly majority privilege exist throughout the globe. Targeting white people in the US, when it would clearly be Chinese people in China, Japanese people in Japan and Indian people in India, is the height of hypocrisy when it comes from people who shout racism constantly.
