if japan still owned the Philippians, china, and korea those country's would benefit from being part of a country with one of the best economy in the world. and there would be no totalitarian china. but i have to say just because america cut off japans oil supply it was no excuse to bomb Perl harbour.

The Japanese were not at all good guys! I am Chinese. My grandparents and my parents suffered immensely when Japanese soldiers invaded China beginning in the 1920's. My grandparents, parents and other Chinese rejoiced in 1945, after the United States government dropped the atomic bombs on Japan. The passing of time may temper some of the hatred directed towards the Japanese, however, the past will never be forgotten.

Japan might ought to withdraw from China. That replaced into reasons why they attacked Pearl Harbor. they did no longer see the different risk of prevailing their empire: Going north they already tried, unsuccessfully. In Kholin Khol they have been given a bloody noose against Zhukov. Going west they have been busy doing, yet that replaced into turning out to be a stalemate. They could no longer conquer China, yet China could no longer kick them out. the eastern atrocities have been a substantial clarification for the embargo set by the Western international locations. So what ought to they do? pass south, and conquer SE Asia. that could advise conflict with the ecu powers besides with usa of america. on account that an attack there might unavoidably deliver approximately US counter measures, they desperate to pass east first. Knock the country out of the conflict and then conquer SE Asia. Supposing wiser heads prevailed, it would have meant a withdrawal from China. That replaced into astonishing, yet that could have been mandatory whilst they did no longer attack Pearl.

If we hadn't subjugated them, the Japanese would not be a democracy with a thriving economy.

Google "Rape of Nanking"... then talk about good guys.

The Japanese atrocities were far worse than anything done by the Nazis.

Are you nuts?

Japan literally butchered dozens of millions of people in their occupied territories in the East, well on par with the atrocities the Holocaust inflicted upon the Jewish people, and perhaps even worse! How can you possibly justify the Japanese were "good guys"? They were fascists, they believed they were the superior race in the East and Nazi Germany was its equal in the West, and eventually these two nations would divide and conquer the world, squashing all else as inferior to them, eradicating anything they deemed fit, showed no mercy to POWs, even civilians, what twisted history did you learn?

NANKING MASSACRE

"the Rape of Nanking, was a mass murder and war rape that occurred during the six-week period following the Japanese capture of the city of Nanjing (Nanking), the former capital of the Republic of China, on December 13, 1937 during the Second Sino-Japanese War. During this period, up to hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians and disarmed soldiers were murdered and 20,000–80,000 women were raped[1] by soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army."

British occupation in India was quite suppressive, right? At least the British didn't march into Delhi, slit the throats of men, raped the women, and buried the children, even infants, with their dead parents, and systematically wiped clean the entire population of a country's capital city! As a matter of fact, even the Nazis didn't barge up to Paris and butcher every living man, woman and child in there, did they?

UNIT 731, BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL WARFARE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT UNIT

"Special Japanese military units conducted experiments on civilians and POWs in China. One of the most infamous was Unit 731 under Shirō Ishii. Victims were subjected to vivisection without anesthesia, amputations, and were used to test biological weapons, among other experiments. Anesthesia was not used because it was believed to affect results.[37]

To determine the treatment of frostbite, prisoners were taken outside in freezing weather and left with exposed arms, periodically drenched with water until frozen solid. The arm was later amputated; the doctor would repeat the process on the victim's upper arm to the shoulder. After both arms were gone, the doctors moved on to the legs until only a head and torso remained. The victim was then used for plague and pathogens experiments.[38]

According to GlobalSecurity.org, the experiments carried out by Unit 731 alone caused 3,000 deaths.[39] Furthermore, according to the 2002 International Symposium on the Crimes of Bacteriological Warfare, the number of people killed by the Imperial Japanese Army germ warfare and human experiments is around 580,000.[40] According to other sources, "tens of thousands, and perhaps as many as 400,000, Chinese died of bubonic plague, cholera, anthrax and other diseases...", resulting from the use of biological warfare.[41] Top officers of Unit 731 were not prosecuted for war crimes after the war, in exchange for turning over the results of their research to the United States. They were also reportedly given responsible positions in Japan's pharmaceutical industry, medical schools and health ministry."

These are just two examples of god-knows how many war crimes the Japanese committed during WWII, ranking high in a history of most horrific atrocities carried out by humans.

It's utter disrespect to the innocent, dead civilians and POWs that died in the hands of the Japanese when you blatantly abuse history.

The Japanese were fascists, just like Germany. It is only after we defeated them that we forced them to become what they are today. I know you're young, but you should know this...
