Exactly what is the "white privilege", really?

The only "White Privilege" I ever experienced was a daily ***-kicking for living in the barrios. The same "Privilege" applied to all geeks, so that usually meant whites, blacks, and Asians.

At my school, the teachers took no action.

Of my few friends half of them quit school (my brother included). A young man can only take so much beating. It was best to get your GED and move on to collage. I remained behind as an "A" student.

I am thinking the "privilege" is a strong motivation to study hard, get a job, and get out of the barrios.

Before you say it. I was timid and quiet. I stood up for myself from time to time, and that always resulted in suspension.

Firstly Yellows aren't called 'Asians' there called Yellows as for all i know ya could be talking about Hajis or sand people. Secondly, Wogs or Golden's aren't called 'Hispanics' their called Wogs or Golden's. That you aren't continually harassed by cops for no reason; that you aren't arrested for trivial things; that you aren't arrested and pressured to plead out, for crimes someone else committed; that the unemployment rate for you is less than HALF what it is for Blacks and Hispanics; that you are treated as an individual, not a representative of your 'race.'

That you think lies doesn't make your lies TRUE.



That your school didn't do its job of providing a safe environment for learning isn't the fault of ALL Blacks and Hispanics in the US.



Look into student-created anti-bullying programs; go to your School Board, or even the media over the bullying problem at your school.



Pretending that there is NO racism against Blacks in the US is completely delusional.



Edit: Thinking that you and your friend are the ENTIRE population of the US is idiotic. You aren't.



Even IF HE didn't experience discrimination, that doesn't mean the tens of millions of Blacks who HAVE don't exist.



How can you have gotten so much education and be so completely ignorant of almost everything?

I don't really know and don't care. I grew up in a middle class Asian-American family. It was still emotionally hostile an draining. It makes me think I would have been better off in a middle class American family.

It's a broad phrase with some logical usage under the phrase such as:

"I'm white and I know my father."

"I'm white and don't abuse drugs."

"I'm white and feel no need to commit violence even when I'm poor."

"I'm white and come from a strong family foundation so I get better grades which will eventually lead me to a better job someday."

These are allegedly "privileges" white people have (even though other groups have them as well so it's not really logical to state they are white privileges but the result of ethical & logical behavior such as if you have a kid, don't abandon that child, be a responsible adult and raise the child).

"You can't understand this argument because you're white."

The term by far is used as a gateway for anti-European-American bigotry as an attempt to not face criticism for the vast majority of the illogical usage under the term for making sweeping generalizations. Which casts a large glooming shadow of ignorance on people who use the phrase. While there may be some validity to some instances, it represents a very tiny percentage of the vast majority of the racial based bigoted ideology the term carries.

So if you want to know about white privilege. There it is. Being able to do what ever you want, whether it is legal or illegal. Right or wrong. Shoot up schools. Shoot up churches. etc. without any or a lesser penalty than a person of color.

Shields is alleged to have driven around town shooting at people in other vehicles. Police were called and she was found in a parking lot, where she then led police on a chase and continued to point her weapon at passing cars, and at police during the chase. And if that isn't shocking enough here's the real kicker. Shields was taken into custody without incident or injury.



Now think about this REAL hard. Insert a black person in this scenario....would they have been treated the same way. HELL no. Hell no to infinity. You know it, I know it, errrybody should know it.

My conclusion: White privilege is the privilege of not knowing of said privilege. The system is made to leave those who get these boost unaware of it. The privilege is to deny these privileges even exist. Minorities are aware cause they don't have these privileges.

I'd rather have the cops on my *** if it meant that I could steal someones job with no qualifications. Same thing happened with my dad.
